CHANGE IN ADDRESS OF CERTAIN POLLING BOOTHS
ATTENTION – ALL MEMBERS
As you are aware, the triennial election to the 25th Council and 24th Regional Councils of the Institute will be held on 3rd and 4th December 2021 in select cities and on 4th December 2021 in other cities in accordance with the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006. It is hoped, you would have received our letter dated 28th October 2021 indicating therein the address of the polling booth allotted to you, together with two booklets containing names and particulars of candidates of your respective region for the Central Council and Regional Council. These details are also hosted on www.icai.org. In the meanwhile, the addresses of some of polling booths have been changed due to unavoidable reasons and it is possible that the details of your polling booth may have changed. Further, many of the members have opted for change of their polling booth in pursuance to rule 5 or rule 6 (2) of the aforesaid rules. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you may kindly check the address of your polling booth at the link KNOW YOUR POLLING BOOTH on before visiting the polling booth in order to avoid any inconvenience. COVID-19 pandemic is still around us and we, as responsible professionals, have the ardent duty to voluntarily follow Covid-19 protocol and continue to wear face mask at all times including in and around the polling booth, observe scrupulously social distance norms and keep washing our hands / sanitized frequently. Please mark your preferences in ballot paper in Arabic Numerals only like 1, 2, 3 and so on. Preferences marked as I (in Roman) or ONE (in words) or in any other manner will render the ballot paper as invalid. Kindly carry your ICAI membership identity card while visiting the polling booth. Alternatively, you may carry any other identity document like Aadhaar Card, PAN card, Election ID card, Driving License, Passport, Employment photo ID card. |
