Employees‘ State Insurance Corporation invites suggestions

Employees‘ State Insurance Corporation invites suggestions within a period of thirty (30) days

F. No. N-12/13/01/2019-P&D.—In exercise of the powers conferred upon it under sub-section (1) of section 97 of the Employees‘ State Insurance Act 1948 (34 of 1948), the Employees‘ State Insurance Corporation had notified “Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana‘ under Section 19 of ESI Act as a welfare measure for employees covered under Section 2(9) of the Act, vide notification published in Gazette of India (Extraordinary) Part III Section – 4 (Sl. No. 469) dated 06.12.2018 for a period of 2 years w.e.f. 01.07.2018. The scheme was extended for period 01.07.2020 to 30.06.2021 along with relaxation in the eligibility conditions for period 24.03.2020 to 31.12.2020 vide notification published in the Gazette of India, (Extraordinary), Part III – Section – 4 (Sl. No 436) dated 16.10.2020. Relaxation in eligibility condition and other condition was extended for period 01.01.2021 to 30.06.2021 vide notification published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) Part III Section – 4 (Sl. No. 146) dated 06.04.2021.

The scheme was further extended for period 01.07.2021 to 30.06.2022 on relaxed eligibility and other condition & intent notification issued vide notification published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) Part III Section – 4 (Sl. No. 329) dated 13.08.2021.

Now the Employees‘ State Insurance Corporation has decided to further relax the eligibility condition of 2 years insurable employment before unemployment and contributory condition effective from 01.07.2021 as under:-

“The Insured Person should have been in insurable employment for a minimum period of 12 months immediately before his/her unemployment and should have contributed for not less than 78 days in the one completed contribution period in 12 months immediately preceding to unemployment.”

Any objection or suggestions, which may be received from any person in respect of notification within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of publication, will be considered by the Employees‘ State Insurance Corporation.
