In Indian context, SEBI in December 2019 extended the Business Responsibility Reporting (BRR) requirement to the top 1000 listed companies by market capitalisation. As per “Report on Business Responsibility and Sustainability
Reporting” issued by the MCA in August, 2020, reporting requirement is proposed to be extended to all listed companies and select unlisted companies. So here is an emerging area for chartered accountants, and here is an opportunity to gain required technical expertise by registering for this program.
