The Accounting Standards Board (ASB) is pleased to announce the launch of online batches 33 & 34 of the ‘Certificate Course on Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)’.

The ASB wishes to inform its Members that this course shall impart a ‘reasonable / working level’ knowledge on the Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). Members are encouraged to seek an In-depth knowledge through self-study of the standards after undergoing this course & also by attending the ‘Deep Dive / Deeper Insight’ series of Refresher courses that are conducted by the ASB from time to time.

Please note that once a member pays the fee for the course, he/she will have to go to the MY PRODUCTS area inside the learning portal and do their Face Registration to enable access to the course. To launch the Face Registration process, Members will have to click on the launch button appearing in the Ind AS course link inside the MY PRODUCTS screen. The Face registration requires your laptop / PC to have a camera. It is advisable NOT to do it using your mobile device. Once the Face Registration is done, you may close the window. The Digital Learning Hub (DLH) team shall take up to a week to approve the Face Registration.

Also note that the above Face Registration will be approved by matching the image taken with the photo you have uploaded in your SSP portal account. So kindly ensure that your photo is present in the SSP portal else the Face Registration won’t be accepted. Members who have already done the Face Registration on the DLH portal earlier i.e., for some other course / examination with ICAI; need not do it again.

The Face Registration done earlier will hold good for this course as well. Please note that while doing the face registration: –

i. Kindly ensure that your face is properly lit i.e., sit in a place where your image clearly appears in the camera.
ii. Keep a plain and bright background like a white or a light-coloured wall.
iii. Do not move while the system is taking your images.
iv. Stay close to the camera.
v. Do not wear spectacles while doing the face registration.
vi. Images taken via the face registration are compared with the image the Member has uploaded in the SSP portal (profile edit screen). Kindly ensure that your photo is uploaded in the SSP portal for the above stated comparison.

Total sessions – 20

Session Duration & Timing – 4 hours per session (includes session break as decided by the faculty). Teaching session would be for a maximum duration of 4 hours per day including half an hour for question-answer session; depending on the topic.

Sessions will be conducted over weekends only i.e., Saturdays (5 pm to 9 pm) & Sundays (10 am to 2 pm) with breaks in between session.

Attendance requirement – Members are required to attend a minimum of 80% sessions (i.e.,16 sessions) to be eligible to appear in the Final Examination of this certificate course.

CPE – 25 Structured for attending the sessions. Plus, additional 5 Structured CPE hours on passing the Examination. Qualifying Marks for Final Examination – 60%

Cost – Rs. 7500 + 18% GST (i.e., Rs. 8850/-).

It may be noted that physical copies of the books WILL NOT be provided with the course. Instead, the candidates shall be given links to softcopies of the required material along-with faculty PPTs and access to view the recorded video lectures on the learning platform of ICAI.

Registration will be on “first-come, first-serve basis”.

In case refund/admission cancellation request has been received from the member for any reason, before one week from the date of commencement of the online Certificate Course, 10% of gross fee paid (inclusive of GST) will be deducted as per norms of ICAI. No refund request will be entertained after
commencement of the batch. Also, Members wanting to change their batch due to any reason (say, batch
33 to any future batch) will have to go the refund route (10% deduction applicable) and apply for a fresh
registration with the future batch; subject to availability of seat in the new batch.
