Summary of Requirements for Applying to ICAI Foundation & Intermediate September 2025 Exams
General Requirements:
- Candidates must check their eligibility and status on the Self-Service Portal (SSP) before applying.
- Valid SSP login credentials are required. Create an account at https://eservices.icai.org/ if needed.
- Ensure valid course registration. Convert lapsed registrations to new course codes (Foundation: NEWFND23/CONFND23; Intermediate: NEWINT23/CONINT23) via SSP under Student Functions > Course Registration > Apply for Conversion (no fee).
- Upload a recent photograph and signature meeting specified requirements (see below) on SSP if not already available or acceptable.
- Intermediate candidates must confirm registration for the intended group(s) on SSP.

Foundation Course Eligibility:
- Registered for Foundation Course by May 1, 2025.
- Converted from CPT to Foundation on SSP by the exam form submission date.
- Must have:
- Appeared in 12th Standard Board Exam (upload Admit Card on SSP), OR
- Passed 12th Standard (upload Marksheet on SSP).
Intermediate Course Eligibility:
- Registered for Intermediate Course by January 1, 2025, to meet the 8-month study period requirement by September 1, 2025.
Photo Requirements:
- Colored or black/white, 80% face visible (no mask), ears visible, white background.
- Clear contrast, no goggles/caps (spectacles allowed), no selfies.
- Religious headwear allowed if face is not covered.
- No red-eye from flash.
- Scanned as JPG/JPEG, 20-50 KB, cropped, size 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm.
Signature Requirements:
- Signed on white paper with black pen.
- Scanned as JPG/JPEG, 10-20 KB, well-cropped, size 6 cm x 2 cm.
