Online Assessment Test Announcement – FATA Certificate Course
The Financial Markets and Investors’ Awareness Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced an Online Assessment Test (AT) for the Certificate Course on Fundamental and Technical Analysis of Stocks, including Equity Research (FATA).
Exam Schedule
Date: 9 May 2026 (Saturday)
Mode: Online via ICAI Digital Learning Hub
- Paper 1
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (IST)
Marks: 100
Format: 100 Multiple Choice Questions
Coverage: Modules 1 & 4, including case studies and practical questions - Paper 2
Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (IST)
Marks: 100
Format: 100 Multiple Choice Questions
Coverage: Modules 2 & 3, including case studies and practical questions
Registration Details
- No examination fee for eligible participants of the 9th batch
- Candidates from earlier batches can register by paying ₹1,180 through the ICAI Digital Learning Hub
Important Deadlines
- Face authentication must be completed at least 2 days before the exam
- No extension will be granted for completing the authentication process
Eligibility & Requirements
Candidates must ensure the following:
- Valid ICAI membership number
- Minimum 75% attendance in the training program
- Access to a desktop or laptop with stable internet
- Functional camera for verification
- Active login credentials for ICAI Digital Learning Hub
- Completion of face registration within the prescribed timeline
- Updated photograph on SSP portal
Face authentication will include live verification (such as eye movement detection).
Key Instructions
- The test will be conducted online on the scheduled date in two sessions
- Face authentication is mandatory to appear in the exam
- Late applications will not be accepted; such candidates must wait for the next attempt
- The assessment will consist of module-based MCQs along with case-based and practical questions
