ICAI Doctoral Scholarship Scheme 2026
The Research Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) invites applications from eligible members for the Doctoral Scholarship Scheme 2026. The scheme is designed to support full-time Ph.D. scholars undertaking research in areas such as Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Commerce, Management, and other related disciplines of national and international significance.
Objective
The scholarship aims to encourage high-quality academic research by providing financial assistance to ICAI members pursuing full-time doctoral studies at recognized universities, colleges, or institutions.
Scholarship Benefits
- Monthly scholarship of ₹75,000
- Available for a maximum period of 36 months
- Annual contingency support up to ₹50,000
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a member of ICAI.
- Be below 40 years of age as on the application date.
- Have obtained confirmed registration for a Ph.D. programme.
- Be enrolled as a full-time research scholar in a recognized educational institution.
- Not be receiving any other scholarship or financial assistance for the same research work during the tenure of the ICAI scholarship.
Selection Process
- Applications will first be reviewed for eligibility and completeness.
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited to make an online presentation before the Shortlisting Committee.
- Final recommendations of the Shortlisting Committee will be considered by the Research Committee for approval.
Important: Submission of an application does not guarantee the award of the scholarship. The decision of ICAI regarding selection shall be final and binding.
