Annual quota for the fiscal year 2021–22- Notification

S.O. 1266(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 read with section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby notifies the annual quota for the fiscal year 2021–22 for the following items of Chapter 7 of the Indian Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017, Schedule-1 (Import Policy):

  1. Import shall be allowed to the Millers/Refiners/Traders and will be allocated equally to pre-determined numbers of applicant through an algorithm based lottery system, as per procedure to be notified by DGFT.
  2. The above quota restriction will not apply to Government’s import commitments under any bilateral/regional Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding.
  3. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette. The above mentioned quota for the fiscal year 2021-2022 shall be allotted as per detailed procedure to be notified by Directorate General of Foreign Trade.

Note : The principal notification No. 36/2015-2020, dated the 17th January, 2017 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide S.O. 172(E), dated the 17th January, 2017 and last amended vide notification published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide S.O. 1225(E), dated the 28th March 2020.
