Clarification on MSME Registration & Classification done during the period 01.04.2022 to 07.06.2022-reg.
The Udyam Registration portal fetches data from the portals of Income Tax Department and GSTN and classifies registered MSMEs on the basis of frozen data on investment and turnover. For example, for F.Y. 2021-22 the data used is for 2019-20.
- As informed by CBDT the portal of Income Tax Department was under updation for 01-04-2022 to 07-06-2022. Due to non availability of data for F.Y. 2020-21 during the said period, the classification of registered MSMEs on Udyam Portal was done on the basis of data for F.Y. 2019-20.
- If MSMEs who registered during 01-04-2022 to 07-06-2022 have availed of any benefit based on the classification done during that period, the benefits availed of will stand.
- Such MSMEs who have registered during the period 01-04-2022 to 07- 06-2022 are advised to download their updated certificates classified for the period 2022-23 based on the data of F.Y. 2020-21 from the Udyam.
