Directions to stock exchanges in the Commodities Derivative

SEBI issues directions to stock exchanges in the Commodities Derivative Segment
- On December 19, 2021, SEBI had directed Stock Exchanges having Commodity Derivatives Segment to suspend trading in derivative contracts in the commodities mentioned below, till December 20, 2022:
i. Paddy (non-basmati)
ii. Wheat
iii. Chana
iv. Mustard seeds and its derivatives (its complex)
v. Soya bean and its derivatives (its complex)
vi. Crude Palm Oil
vii. Moong - Thereafter, the suspension in trading in the above contracts was extended twice for one more year till December 20, 2023 and December 20, 2024 respectively.
- In continuation of the said directions, the suspension in trading in the above contracts has been extended till January 31, 2025.
