Extension of the last date of export by six months

Seeks to amend notification No. 57/2000-Customs dated 08.05.2000 providing for the extension of the last date of export by six months, for those cases where the last date of export falls between 01.02.2021 and 30.06.2021- Notification No. 39/2021 – Customs

G.S.R.—- (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 57/2000-Customs, dated the 8th May, 2000, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 413 (E), dated the 8th May, 2000, namely:-

  1. In the said notification, after the third proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-

    “Provided also that for the cases where the last date of exports falls between the 1st February, 2021 and the 30th June, 2021, the last date of exports stands extended by six months”.

Note. – The principal notification No. 57/2000-Customs, dated the 8th May, 2000 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 413 (E), dated the 8th May, 2000 and was last amended by notification No. 17/2021-Customs, dated 17th February, 2021, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 116 (E), dated the 17th February, 2021.
