ICAI Enables Online Surrender of Examination Exemptions
The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has introduced an online facility allowing candidates to surrender exemptions previously granted in CA examinations, including permanent exemptions.
Candidates can submit their request through the Self Service Portal (SSP) by logging into their account and navigating to Exam Functions on the dashboard.
The last dates for submitting requests are:
- CA Intermediate – September 2026 Examination: 5 August 2026
- CA Final – November 2026 Examination: 30 September 2026
Candidates intending to surrender any exemption should complete the process within the applicable deadline through the SSP portal.
