Notification No. 5 on the Security deposit
No. 54-Bye-Eh(1)/5/2022 : In pursuance of sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India hereby notifies that in respect of bye-election to its Twenty Fifth Council from Western India Regional Constituency to be held in September, 2022, a candidate shall pay an amount of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) as
security deposit, for his candidature, irrespective of the number of nominations that may be filed. The security deposit so paid shall be forfeited, if he fails to secure not less than 2% (two percent) of the original votes, as defined in rule 35 of the said Rules, polled in the concerned Regional Constituency.
The said deposit is required to be paid by way of a demand draft drawn in favour of Secretary, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi.
