📌 Updated Reporting Authority
To streamline oversight, SEBI has changed the reporting responsibilities:
- Stock Brokers & Depository Participants → Report to Stock Exchanges / Depositories
- Investment Advisers (IAs) & Research Analysts (RAs) → Report to BSE Ltd.
- Other Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) & Regulated Entities → Report to SEBI
✅ Why This Matters
These changes will provide regulated entities with more time to appoint certified accessibility professionals, conduct audits, and fix gaps. At the same time, the shift in reporting authority ensures clearer accountability.
This initiative is part of SEBI’s commitment to investor protection and inclusive access to India’s financial markets.
