DGFT Launches Online Module for Post Export EPCG Scrips

DGFT Launches Online Module for Post Export EPCG Scrips

Guidelines for Issuance, Re-issuance, and Extension of Validity of Post Export EPCG Scrips – Launch of Online Module

This Directorate has received representations from holders of Post Export EPCG authorisations highlighting challenges in utilising scrips that were issued manually or through offline processes by Regional Authorities (RAs).

  1. To streamline the process, an online module for issuance of electronic Post Export EPCG Duty Credit Scrips has been introduced on the DGFT portal. This system enables both authorisation holders and RAs to process applications digitally. It also ensures smooth data integration between DGFT and ICEGATE, facilitating easier utilisation of electronically issued scrips.
  2. The concerned Regional Authority will review applications submitted through the online module and, upon approval, generate the scrip electronically. The approved scrip will then be transmitted to ICEGATE for further use.
  3. The module caters to the following situations:

Scenario 1: Authorisation not yet closed
Applicants may apply online for closure of their Post Export EPCG authorisation along with the required documents. Once approved by the RA, the corresponding scrip will be generated and transmitted electronically to ICEGATE.

Scenario 2: Scrip generated but not transmitted / expired before transmission
Where a scrip has already been generated online but has either not been transmitted to ICEGATE or has expired prior to transmission, the applicant should submit a Service Request Ticket on the DGFT portal. Upon approval, the existing scrip will be transmitted with a revised validity period, where applicable.

Scenario 3: Authorisation closed but scrip not generated or issued manually
If the authorisation has been closed but no electronic scrip has been generated, or a manual scrip was issued, the applicant must raise a Service Request Ticket on the DGFT portal. Relevant details, including utilisation status of any manual scrip and supporting documents, should be provided. After verification and approval by the RA, an electronic scrip (for full or partial value, as applicable) will be generated and transmitted to ICEGATE.

  1. Any technical or operational issues encountered during processing or transmission should be promptly reported to Policy Cell-5 / EG&TF, DGFT Headquarters for resolution.

This notice is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
