FAFD Assessment Test Scheduled for 30 May 2026 | ICAI Notice
Notification for Online Assessment Test (AT) – Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection (FAFD)
The Online Assessment Test (AT) for the Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection (FAFD) is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 30 May 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon through the Digital Learning Hub of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Last Date for Face Registration: Candidates must complete the Face Registration / Authentication process on the ICAI Learning Portal by 26 May 2026 (5:30 PM). No extension will be granted under any circumstances.

Eligibility & Prerequisites
To appear in the FAFD Assessment Test, members must ensure the following:
- Active ICAI Membership Number
- Completion of eligibility criteria:
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Module Tests and Project Work
- Minimum 90% attendance in Professional Training
- Laptop/Desktop with stable internet connection
- Functional webcam/camera attached to system
- Active login credentials for ICAI Digital Learning Hub
- Successful Face Registration before the deadline
Eligibility for May 2026 Attempt
Members who have completed their Professional Training batches by 31 March 2026 are eligible to appear in this attempt.
Fee for Re-Appear Candidates
Candidates appearing again after failing earlier attempt(s) are required to pay:
- ₹500 + 18% GST = ₹590
This fee is non-refundable.
First-time candidates are not required to pay any fee.
Registration Timeline
- Registration Opens: 27 April 2026 (10:00 AM)
- Registration Closes: 26 May 2026 (5:30 PM)
Mock Test Details: A Mock Test will be conducted on Thursday, 28 May 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Purpose of Mock Test:
- Familiarize candidates with exam interface
- Understand technical setup and process
Participation is optional but highly recommended.
Only those members who complete Face Registration by 26 May 2026 will be eligible for the Mock Test.
Steps for First-Time Candidates
- Login at ICAI Learning Hub using SSP credentials
- Go to My Dashboard
- Select product:
DAAB_Assessment_Forensic_Accounting and Fraud Detection 30th May 2026 - Click Launch Assessment
- Complete Face Registration
- Close window after completion
- On exam day, click Assessment node to appear in test
Note: Face registration approval may take 24 to 48 hours.
If face registration has already been completed earlier for any ICAI exam, fresh registration may not be required.
Steps for Re-Appear Candidates
- Login using SSP credentials
- Go to Dashboard
- Select:
DAAB_Assessment_Forensic_Accounting and Fraud Detection 30th May 2026 (Re-appearance Link) - Click Launch → Payment Link → Pay ₹590
- After payment, exam product will be added to dashboard
- Complete Face Registration (if required)
- Appear in test on scheduled date
Important Instructions
- Login after 10:59 AM on exam day will not be permitted
- Mobile phones / Tablets are strictly prohibited
- Exam can only be attempted through Laptop/Desktop
- Use of Mobile/Tab will be treated as unfair means
- Any malpractice or disorderly conduct may invite disciplinary action by the Board
Final Note: Applications received after 26 May 2026 (5:30 PM) will not be entertained. Such candidates will have to appear in the next Assessment Test.
Candidates who have already cleared the FAFD Assessment Test are not required to appear again.
