ICAI FAFD Assessment Test on 5 September 2026: Registration, Eligibility & Important Dates
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the next Online Assessment Test (AT) for members enrolled in the Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection (FAFD).

Important: No extension will be granted for completing face registration. Members must complete the process before the prescribed deadline.
Eligibility Requirements
Members intending to appear for the Assessment Test should ensure that they:
- Hold an active ICAI Membership Number.
- Have successfully completed the prescribed eligibility requirements, including:
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Module Tests and Project Work.
- At least 90% attendance in Professional Training.
- Have completed their Professional Training batch on or before 31 July 2026.
- Possess an active login on ICAI’s Digital Learning Hub.
- Complete face registration/authentication before the due date.
- Have access to:
- A Desktop or Laptop with stable internet connectivity.
- A working webcam for identity verification.
Assessment Fee
- First Attempt: No examination fee.
- Re-attempt: ₹500 plus 18% GST (Total: ₹590).
- The re-attempt fee applies only to members who have not qualified in previous attempts and is non-refundable.
Face Registration
Candidates must complete face registration through the Digital Learning Hub before appearing in the Assessment Test.
Members who have already completed face registration on the Digital Learning Hub for any previous ICAI online examination are not required to register again.
Approval of face registration may take 24 to 48 hours, so members should complete the process well before the deadline.
Registration Process – First-Time Candidates
- Sign in to the Digital Learning Hub using SSP credentials.
- Open My Dashboard.
- Select the Assessment product for the FAFD Assessment Test – 5 September 2026.
- Launch the assessment and complete the face authentication process.
- After successful submission, close the window and access the Assessment on the examination date.
Registration Process – Re-Attempt Candidates
- Log in to the Digital Learning Hub using SSP credentials.
- Open the re-appearance Assessment product.
- Complete the online payment of the prescribed fee.
- After payment, the Assessment product will be added to your dashboard.
- Launch the Assessment product and complete face registration (if not already completed).
- On the examination date, access the Assessment through the Assessment section.
Mock Test: A practice session will be conducted on 2 September 2026 to help members become familiar with the examination interface.

Participation is optional but strongly recommended. The questions used in the mock test may differ from those in the actual Assessment Test.
Only members who have completed face registration before the prescribed deadline will be able to participate.
Assessment Instructions
- Examination Date: 5 September 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Late entry after 10:59 AM will not be permitted.
- The Assessment can only be accessed through a Desktop or Laptop.
- Mobile phones and tablets are not permitted for taking the examination.
- Face authentication, including live verification, will be carried out before the Assessment begins.
Important Guidelines
- Requests received after 25 August 2026 (5:30 PM) will not be accepted.
- Members who have already passed the FAFD Assessment Test are not required to appear again.
- Any use of unfair means or violation of examination rules may invite disciplinary action under ICAI’s examination regulations.
