Agency Banks to remain open for public on March 31, 2026
All agency banks will operate for the public on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, even though it is a public holiday.
At the request of the Government of India, bank branches that handle government receipts and payments will stay open on this date to ensure all such transactions are recorded within Financial Year 2025–26. Therefore, agency banks should keep their government-business branches functional on March 31, 2026.
Banks are also instructed to adequately inform customers and the public about the availability of these services on that day.
