ICAI Announces CA Foundation & Intermediate Examinations for January 2027

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the schedule for the January 2027 Chartered Accountants Foundation and Intermediate Examinations.

The examinations will be conducted at various centres across India as well as at selected overseas locations, subject to the availability of an adequate number of candidates at the respective centres.

CA Intermediate Examination – January 2027

The Intermediate examinations will be conducted in two groups as per the syllabus applicable under the ICAI scheme:

The examination for all Intermediate papers will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST).

Candidates will also receive 15 minutes of advance reading time, from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM.

CA Foundation Examination – January 2027

The Foundation Course examinations are scheduled on the following dates:

3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th January 2027

The examination timings will be:

For Foundation Papers 3 and 4, no advance reading time will be provided. For the other examinations, 15 minutes of advance reading time will be available from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM.

Important Note Regarding Public Holidays

The examination schedule will not be altered if any examination date is subsequently declared a public holiday by the Central Government, a State Government or a local authority.

ICAI may withdraw any examination city or centre at any stage without assigning a specific reason.

Overseas Examination Centres

For the January 2027 Foundation and Intermediate examinations, ICAI will also provide examination centres at the following three overseas locations:

ICAI Exam Form Dates – January 2027

Candidates appearing for the January 2027 Foundation or Intermediate examinations will have to submit their examination applications online through the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP).

The important dates are:

Candidates should log in to the SSP using their registered credentials. Students who have forgotten their SSP password can use the Forgot Password facility.

Students are also advised to complete relevant updates such as course registration/conversion, revalidation, photograph, signature and address updates through SSP wherever applicable.

Foundation Course

The applicable late fee is ₹600 for Indian and Kathmandu centres and US$10 for other overseas centres.

Fees can be paid online through options including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay, Net Banking and BHIM UPI.

Medium of Examination

Candidates appearing for the Foundation and Intermediate examinations can choose to answer their papers in English or Hindi.
