Revision of Exporter Eligibility Criteria for Registration on “Source from India” Service under Trade Connect ePlatform

1. Reference is invited to Trade Notice No. 5/2025-26 dated 13 June 2025, whereby the “Source from India” service under the Trade Connect ePlatform
   (https://www.trade.gov.in/pages/source-from-india) was launched for all Status Holder Exporters.
   This flagship feature serves as a single reference point for international buyers to identify reputed Indian exporters and source products. Exporters can create microsites on Trade Connect to showcase their products and company credentials.
2. To enable wider participation of accomplished Indian exporters, the eligibility criteria for availing the “Source from India” facility have been revised.
3. Effective from 1 November 2025, the following exporters shall be eligible to create microsites on “Source from India”:
   • All exporters holding valid IECs (not in the Denied Entity List – DEL), and
   • Having a minimum export realisation of USD 100,000 in any one of the preceding three financial years at the time of application.
   Eligibility shall be determined based on DGFT eBRC database, which will serve as the sole reference for realisation data, aggregated on a financial year basis.
4. Users registered on Trade Connect whose profiles are linked with eligible IECs will automatically see the “Source from India Microsite Creation” option on their dashboard.
   A detailed step-by-step guide is annexed with this Trade Notice for reference.
5. Indian Missions Abroad have been sensitised to use the “Source from India” database for responding to sourcing requests from international buyers seeking Indian suppliers.
6. Export Promotion Councils and Industry Associations are requested to give wide publicity to this Trade Notice and encourage eligible members to register under the “Source from India” service.

Annexure: Steps for Registration on “Source from India” (Trade Connect ePlatform)

Pre-requisites

1. Valid user account on www.trade.gov.in.
   • Users already registered on the DGFT platform can log in with the same credentials.
   • No separate registration is required.
2. The user account must be linked to a valid and eligible IEC.
   • To link IEC, visit https://www.trade.gov.in/pages/login and click “Haven’t linked your IEC?” below the login fields for instructions.

Steps to Create a “Source from India” Microsite

1. Log in to Trade Connect using the email ID linked to the eligible IEC.
2. On the dashboard, click “Create ‘Source from India’ Profile” (visible only for eligible IECs).
   • Alternatively, navigate to My Dashboard → Manage Source from India Profile.
3. Fill in export achievements, complete declarations, and submit the profile for approval.
4. Upon approval, the microsite will be publicly available at
   https://www.trade.gov.in/pages/source-from-india.
