ICAI CA Examinations – May 2026 (Important Announcement)
The Examination Department of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the schedule for the Chartered Accountants Foundation, Intermediate and Final Examinations – May 2026, along with the Post Qualification Course Examination – International Taxation (INTT-AT), in pursuance of Regulation 22 and other applicable regulations of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
The examinations will be conducted subject to a sufficient number of candidates offering themselves at the respective centres.
Examination Schedule
Final Course Examination
- Group I: 2nd, 4th & 6th May 2026
- Group II: 8th, 10th & 12th May 2026
Intermediate Course Examination
- Group I: 3rd, 5th & 7th May 2026
- Group II: 9th, 11th & 13th May 2026
Foundation Course Examination
- 14th, 16th, 18th & 20th May 2026
Post Qualification Course (Members’ Examination)
- International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT-AT): 10th & 12th May 2026
There will be no change in the examination schedule even if any examination day is declared a public holiday.
Examination Timings & Duration (IST)
- Foundation Papers 1 & 2: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (3 Hours)
- Foundation Papers 3 & 4: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (2 Hours)
- Intermediate (All Papers): 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (3 Hours)
- Final Papers 1 to 5: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (3 Hours)
- Final Paper 6: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (4 Hours)
- INTT-AT (All Papers): 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (4 Hours)
Advance reading time of 15 minutes (1:45 PM to 2:00 PM) will be available for all papers except Foundation Papers 3 & 4 and INTT-AT. No advance reading time will be provided for MCQ-based question papers.
Examination Centres – India
The May 2026 examinations will be held at numerous centres across all States and Union Territories in India, including major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Indore, Kochi, Trivandrum, Coimbatore, Madurai, Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, and many more.
(ICAI reserves the right to withdraw any examination centre at any stage without assigning reasons.)
Overseas Examination Centres
(For Foundation, Intermediate and Final Courses only)
Examinations will also be conducted at the following 9 overseas centres:
Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Thimphu (Bhutan), Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh (KSA).
Local examination timings at overseas centres will correspond to 2:00 PM IST, as notified by ICAI.
Online Examination Application Process
- Foundation, Intermediate & Final candidates must apply online through the Self Service Portal (SSP) at:
https://eservices.icai.org - INTT-AT candidates (Members) must apply at:
https://pqc.icaiexam.icai.org - Examination forms will be available as per eligibility and ICAI announcements.
- Applications and fee payments must be completed online only.
Important Dates – Examination Forms
- Commencement of online application: 3rd March 2026
- Last date without late fee: 16th March 2026
- Last date with late fee (₹600 / USD 10): 19th March 2026
- Correction window for exam city / medium: 20th March 2026 to 22nd March 2026
Examination Fees
Foundation Course
- Indian Centres: ₹1,500
- Overseas Centres: USD 325
- Bhutan / Nepal Centres: ₹2,200
Intermediate Course
- Single Group: ₹1,500 (India) | USD 325 (Overseas)
- Both Groups: ₹2,700 (India) | USD 500 (Overseas)
Final Course
- Single Group: ₹1,800 (India) | USD 325 (Overseas)
- Both Groups: ₹3,300 (India) | USD 550 (Overseas)
INTT-AT (Members): ₹2,000
Late fee: ₹600 (India / Bhutan / Nepal) or USD 10 (Overseas)
Fees can be paid via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, Rupay Card or BHIM UPI.
Medium of Examination
- Foundation, Intermediate & Final: English or Hindi
- INTT-AT: English only
