ICAI Clarifies Rumours on Alleged Examination Data Breach, Confirms Records Remain Secure
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has taken note of certain messages and reports circulating on social media that allege a security incident involving an ICAI examination-related portal and suggest unauthorized access to examination records.
ICAI wishes to clarify that the portal mentioned in these reports, examiners.icaiexam.icai.org, is intended solely for examiner training and orientation purposes. It is not connected to the storage or management of examination records, candidate data, marks, answer books, or any other sensitive examination information.
The Institute confirms that there has been no breach affecting examination-related data. Candidates’ records, evaluation information, marks, and other confidential examination details remain secure and protected.
ICAI advises students, members, and all stakeholders to disregard such unverified and misleading claims. The Institute views the spread of false information seriously and will take appropriate legal action against individuals responsible for disseminating rumours or inaccurate allegations.
ICAI further reiterates that its examination systems operate within a secure technology environment supported by multiple safeguards designed to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and reliability of examination processes and data.
Stakeholders are encouraged to rely only on official communications issued by ICAI for accurate and authentic information regarding examinations and related matters.
