New Forms for PAN Correction from 1 April 2026

“CBDT Notifies New Forms PAN CR-01 & PAN CR-02 for PAN Correction from 1 April 2026”

Under the authority granted by Rule 158(12) of the Income-tax Rules, 2026, read with Section 262(4) of the Income-tax Act, 2025, the Director General of Income-tax (Systems) has issued directions specifying the forms and procedure for submitting applications related to correction or modification of Permanent Account Number (PAN) details.

Accordingly, the following application forms must be used by PAN holders seeking corrections or updates in their PAN records:

a) Forms for PAN Data Correction

  1. PAN CR-01 – Application for Changes or Correction in PAN Data (Applicable to Individuals)
  2. PAN CR-02 – Application for Changes or Correction in PAN Data (Applicable to Non-Individuals)

b) Form Availability

The PDF versions of the above forms, along with detailed instructions and guidelines for completion, are provided in Annexure-1.

c) Mode of Submission

Applicants may submit the completed forms:

  • Physically at PAN service centres operated by UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited or Protean eGov Technologies Limited, or
  • Online through the official websites of these service providers.

This order shall come into effect from 1 April 2026.
