Inviting Public Comments on the Proposed Stipend rates payable to Articled Assistant undergoing 2 years of practical training under the New Scheme of Education & Training.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has granted in-principle approval to the proposed revision of stipend rates for articled assistants undergoing the two-year practical training under the New Scheme of Education and Training, along with the corresponding amendments to the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
As required under Section 30(3) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the draft amendments have been published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), Part III, Section 4, dated 25 June 2026, inviting comments and suggestions from persons who may be affected. The proposed revised stipend structure for articled assistants undertaking the two-year practical training has also been uploaded to the Institute’s website for public reference.
Stakeholders are invited to submit their comments, suggestions, or objections on the draft amendments on or before 5 August 2026. In accordance with the statutory consultation process, the 30-day period for receiving feedback is reckoned from 4 July 2026, the date on which copies of the Gazette were made available to the public.
