Bank Strike: Advisory for Timely Statutory Compliances

Bank Strike: Advisory for Timely Statutory Compliances

Advisory on Timely Completion of Statutory Compliances in View of the Proposed Bank Strike from 28th to 30th September 2026

In view of the proposed nationwide bank strike scheduled from 28th to 30th September 2026, members are advised to take necessary steps in advance to ensure the timely completion of statutory and regulatory compliances falling due during this period.

The proposed strike coincides with important compliance deadlines, including statutory and tax audits and the holding of Annual General Meetings (AGMs) in cases where the applicable due dates fall on 30th September 2026.

Members are therefore advised to plan their ongoing assignments appropriately and obtain all necessary bank statements, confirmations, certificates, transaction details and other banking-related information well before the commencement of the proposed strike.

Members may also advise their clients to arrange and share the required banking records and supporting documents at the earliest. This would help minimise the possibility of delays arising from limited access to banking services or information during the strike period.

Members are requested to take note of the proposed bank strike and make suitable arrangements to ensure that applicable statutory and regulatory compliances are completed within the prescribed timelines.
