DGFT Extends RELIEF Scheme Timeline Under Export Promotion Mission Until 30 September 2026
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has extended the eligibility period for Component II of the Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation (RELIEF) scheme operating under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM).
The extension has been notified through Notification No. 21/2026-27 dated 29 June 2026, amending the earlier Notification No. 65/2025-26 issued on 19 March 2026.
Eligibility Period Extended
As per the latest notification, shipments covered under Component II of the RELIEF scheme will now remain eligible if they are meant for delivery or transshipment up to 30 September 2026. The extension is intended to improve the utilization of the scheme while ensuring continuity in export logistics during ongoing global supply chain disruptions.
Objective of the Extension
The Government has stated that the revised timeline is aimed at providing continued support to Indian exporters facing logistics challenges arising from the prolonged crisis in West Asia. By extending the eligibility period, the initiative seeks to strengthen supply chain resilience and facilitate uninterrupted export operations.
No Other Changes to the Scheme
Apart from the revised eligibility timeline, all other conditions, eligibility criteria, and operational provisions of the RELIEF scheme notified on 19 March 2026 will continue to remain in force without any modification.
Impact on Exporters
The extension offers additional time for eligible exporters to benefit from the logistics support available under Component II of the RELIEF initiative. Businesses engaged in international trade, particularly those affected by shipping disruptions linked to the West Asia situation, can continue to avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits until 30 September 2026, subject to the applicable guidelines.
The notification reflects the Government’s continued efforts to reduce the impact of international logistics disruptions and support India’s export sector through targeted trade facilitation measures.
