Import of Platinum Articles (ITC HS 71141920) Shifted from “Free” to “Restricted” – DGFT Notification 58/2025–26
S.O. (E): In exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 3 and 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the import policy of ITC (HS) Code 71141920 under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule I (Import Policy), with immediate effect, as follows:
1. Introduction of Policy Condition No. 6 in Chapter 71
Import of Platinum Articles shall be “Restricted.” However, the following categories shall remain “Free”:
a) Re-import of Indian-origin goods exported for overseas exhibitions or export promotion tours.
b) Re-import of Indian-origin goods that are rejected, returned, or unsold.
c) Re-import of Indian-origin goods sent abroad for repair.
2. Amendment in Import Policy
